We are looking for a Senior Ruby Developer to build and expand APIs and services within our Payments team. You will work alongside other engineers, product owners, designers, business representatives and external partners to maintain a platform that securely incorporates new payment providers and builds new functionalities. We operate remote-first and prioritize the team over individuals, value innovative problem-solving, and strive for operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Build and expand APIs and services for the payments platform
- Collaboration with engineers, product owners, designers, business representatives and external partners
- Maintenance of a platform to securely incorporate new payment providers
- Development of new functionalities for the payments ecosystem
- Use of tools like Prometheus, Sentry and Kibana for application monitoring and operational intelligence
- Contribution to innovative problem solving across the team
- Drive operational efficiency within the development process
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering
- Proficiency in Ruby and React Native
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Sentry and Kibana for application monitoring and operational intelligence
- Capability to work in a remote-first environment
- Understanding of building and expanding APIs and services
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
- Skills in TypeScript
- Familiarity with PHP
