The current reporting estate includes Qlik Sense on-prem and Qlik SaaS, with a modern data platform direction encompassing Data Governance and AI enablement. Modernization efforts will begin with the Finance & Supply Chain domain. In this role, you will ensure stable, secure, and performant delivery of Qlik-based analytics and help rebuild and rationalize priority BI assets and data consumption patterns.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of Qlik applications within assigned domain wave (e.g., Finance / Supply Chain), including understanding app structure, load scripts, QVD usage, and business logic
- Troubleshoot and resolve BI defects, including reload failures, data mismatches, performance bottlenecks, broken visuals, and permission/access issues (in coordination with platform admin)
- Support validation activities by comparing outputs across cycles, investigating discrepancies, and documenting evidence for signoff
- Contribute to operational readiness through runbooks, known-issues logs, monitoring inputs, and incident/problem tickets
- Participate in assess & rationalise (4R) activities for the BI estate
- Rebuild and refactor priority Finance/Supply Chain analytics assets and data models as modernisation proceeds
- Collaborate with the data platform team (Snowflake) and governance to align consumption patterns, definitions, and controls
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience delivering BI solutions
- Strong expertise in Qlik Sense (on-prem and/or SaaS)
- Proficiency in reading, debugging, and improving Qlik load scripts, data models, and front-end performance
- Practical background in supporting BI in a production/BAU context, including incidents, SLAs, and a stability-first mindset
- Experience working with modern data warehouses (preferably Snowflake) and SQL-based data validation
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional work with Product Leads, SMEs, QA, and Platform Ops
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level)
Nice to have
- Exposure to governance and access controls (e.g., Qlik Section Access concepts, SOX-like control environments)
- Familiarity with test automation and data reconciliation tooling for BI validation
- Experience modernising BI estates, including rationalisation, rebuild patterns, and semantic layer concepts
