We are looking for a highly capable and driven Senior QA Engineer with proficiency in JavaScript to join our team.
In this position, you will focus on developing resilient automated test suites for Data Science Studio applications such as Dataiku and Spotfire, incorporating these tests into our CI/CD pipeline, and championing quality assurance best practices. This role provides the chance to work alongside innovative technologies in a collaborative and fast-paced atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Define comprehensive test plans to uphold product quality
- Plan testing strategies aligned with specific release schedules
- Develop automated test suites using Cypress, Selenium, and other relevant tools
- Execute unit, smoke, and end-to-end tests across multiple environments
- Incorporate automated testing processes into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and ArgoCD
- Collaborate with development and portfolio teams to identify, analyze, and document issues succinctly
- Optimize test automation within GCP/GKE/AKS environments for scalability
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage for applications built with Python, JavaScript, and Go
- Utilize helm test, pytest, and Swagger to verify application quality
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges
- Improve the efficiency of testing processes and ensure timely delivery
- Promote adherence to quality standards throughout the development lifecycle
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in automation testing and a strong programming background in JavaScript, Cypress, Selenium, and Node.js
- Professional experience with CI/CD pipelines and their integration with automation frameworks using Azure DevOps and ArgoCD
- Competency in Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux for testing and deployment
- Knowledge of tools like helm test, pytest, and Swagger
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage with diverse technical and non-technical teams
- Background in developing and executing test cases with tools like Azure DevOps
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with efficient task management
- Familiarity with unit testing, smoke testing, and end-to-end testing methodologies
- Expertise in programming technologies like Python, JavaScript, Go, and Cucumber
Nice to have
- Understanding of data science applications such as Dataiku or Spotfire
- Familiarity with additional CI/CD tools like Docker and Node.js
- Background in testing within cloud environments like GCP or GKE
- Proficiency in Go Core for validating testing functionalities
- Knowledge of data science workflows and integration with analytical tools
