We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to strengthen quality for client-facing products through automated testing in Java and consultative collaboration with delivery teams. You will shape test strategy, build reliable automation across UI and services, and help teams improve quality practices—apply now to join us.
Responsibilities
- Define acceptance criteria with stakeholders and ensure testability
- Design test strategies and test plans using BDD to cover functional and non-functional needs
- Build and maintain Java-based test automation for web, mobile, and backend services
- Select and apply appropriate frameworks and tools (Serenity BDD, Screenplay, Cucumber, Karate) to standardize automation
- Coordinate test management in Jira and Xray to ensure traceability, execution visibility, and reporting
- Execute performance testing with tools such as JMeter or k6 and interpret results to guide improvements
- Develop and evolve CI/CD automation pipelines in Azure DevOps to run tests reliably
- Validate data through SQL queries and database checks to support end-to-end testing
- Apply shift-left and shift-right testing practices to improve quality throughout the lifecycle
- Advise teams and clients on quality risks, trade-offs, and pragmatic solutions
- Promote clean engineering practices aligned with SOLID, Clean Code, refactoring, DRY, and DAMP
Requirements
- 5+ years of QA automation experience in Java
- Strong consultancy skills to advise teams and align quality outcomes with client needs
- Strong test management experience with Jira and Xray
- Advanced knowledge of test processes and test types aligned with ISTQB FL/AT concepts
- Advanced automation framework knowledge (Serenity BDD, Screenplay, Gherkin-Cucumber, Karate)
- Solid CI/CD knowledge with Azure DevOps and automation pipelines
- Strong version control skills with Git
- Solid database knowledge with relational databases (SQL and one of Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL)
- Strong communication skills for technical discussions, reviews, and cross-role collaboration
- Strong negotiation skills to resolve priorities and quality trade-offs
- Strong teamwork skills to share progress, surface blockers, and adapt to team styles
- English proficiency: B2 Upper-Intermediate
Nice to have
- Certification in AI tools such as GitHub Copilot
- Knowledge of AI-assisted test execution agents and AI-supported development
- Security testing experience with OWASP ZAP and security automation scripts
- ITIL v4 knowledge
- Agile methodology experience with Scrum or Kanban
