We are looking for a dedicated Senior Python Engineer to come on board with our team.
This position is centered on improving cloud infrastructure, automation pipelines, and engineering practices in an AWS-oriented environment. The role gives you the chance to lead meaningful migrations, support AI-enabled engineering improvements, and help build secure, scalable platform foundations.
Responsibilities
- Function within a spec-driven software development lifecycle
- Develop AI-powered enhancements for design, delivery, and triage processes
- Examine new tools and solutions as possible candidates for enterprise-level AI enablement offerings
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS Lambda services and API Gateway endpoints with Python and boto3
- Lead the CI/CD movement away from legacy cicd-functions pipelines toward GitHub Actions workflows
- Handle infrastructure as code mainly through Terraform, with support from Serverless frameworks
- Carry out brownfield refactors, service shutdowns, and migrations, including OAuth migrations, WAF block-mode rollouts, and Mythos SAST/SCA remediations
- Configure and adjust AWS WAF rules while addressing security issues uncovered by SAST and SCA tooling
- Improve operational workflows and back agentic platform initiatives, with experience in n8n, LangChain, or comparable orchestration tools regarded as an advantage
- Partner with the SRE Consultant on telemetry gaps and Lambda-based data collection automation
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant professional background
- Python development experience focused on AWS Lambda and API Gateway in production settings
- Strong working knowledge of boto3 across services such as IAM, Secrets Manager, SSM, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and WAF
- Hands-on Terraform expertise for production-level infrastructure as code, covering writing, refactoring, and reviewing modules
- Practical familiarity with the Serverless Framework, including supporting and migrating legacy stacks
- Hands-on construction of CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, with willingness to lead a cicd-functions to GHA transition
- Experience defining AWS WAF rules, enabling block mode, and contributing to incident response efforts
- Knowledge of security tooling such as SAST and SCA, plus exposure to a structured compliance program
- Brownfield approach with a proven history of migrations, decommissions, and refactors rather than greenfield work
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills (B2+ level or higher)
Nice to have
- Background in linking internal and third-party systems via REST APIs, including patterns such as ServiceNow OAuth client credentials flows
- Knowledge of Snowflake for cloud data warehousing, analytics, and data platform integration
