We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our team.
In this role, you will contribute to building reliable, scalable backend services that support mission-critical business operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet demanding performance and security expectations.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services and APIs to support core business functionality
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested Python code following industry best practices
- Contribute to architectural discussions and help shape technical direction across the team
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and fellow engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Participate actively in code reviews, offering constructive feedback and driving quality across the codebase
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in a timely manner
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability across services
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for developed components and processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, tools, and workflows
- Partner with globally distributed team members to deliver features across time zones
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional relevant experience in backend software development
- Hands-on experience with Python using frameworks such as Flask and FastAPI, along with Postgres, Docker, and Redis
- Strong commitment to test automation, including thorough unit testing and manual integration testing practices
- Experience working within agile teams on complex, high-stakes applications
- Collaborative mindset with a dedication to code reviews and peer learning
- Comfort working effectively with teams distributed across the globe
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence for project tracking and knowledge sharing
- Working knowledge of native cloud services, including S3 buckets, Lambda, AWS AKS, and CloudWatch
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2 level or higher, both written and verbal
Nice to have
- Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflow automation
- Familiarity with Jira and GitHub integrations to streamline development processes
- Knowledge of DevOps best practices for building and operating modern software systems
- Prior exposure to financial services, with domain knowledge in payments, wire transfers, account reconciliations, and cash management
- Hands-on experience with Cursor as an AI-assisted development environment
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment
- Familiarity with ReactJS for supporting or collaborating on frontend-related tasks
