Join our remote team as a seasoned Python Data Developer, leveraging extensive expertise in cloud technologies and SQL.
As a pivotal Senior Developer, you will spearhead the creation and deployment of groundbreaking data solutions, collaborating with a group of skilled developers. Your focus will be on delivering top-notch software, fostering collaboration, and nurturing a growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Architect and craft data processing pipelines, implementing scalable and efficient solutions for data manipulation and analysis
- Develop and sustain REST APIs, ensuring seamless integration with diverse systems
- Work closely with fellow developers and stakeholders to guarantee that all data solutions align with specified requirements
- Write Python code that is clean, efficient, and maintainable, optimizing backend system performance
- Tackle intricate problems, offering scalable and high-performing solutions to enhance overall functionality
- Ensure backend systems adhere to customer infrastructure and security standards, following industry best practices
- Spearhead the development of data warehousing solutions, facilitating efficient storage and retrieval of extensive data volumes
- Leverage Amazon SQS for effective message queueing and processing
- Monitor and enhance the performance of data processing systems within the AWS environment
- Implement rigorous unit testing and debugging practices to fortify the reliability and functionality of the software
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of Python development experience, with a robust foundation in data software engineering principles and best practices
- Proficient in developing and maintaining cloud-based solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Mastery of SQL and NoSQL databases, with hands-on experience in Amazon DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and Apache Hive
- Familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark and Databricks for efficient data manipulation and analysis
- Expertise in developing and maintaining REST APIs, facilitating seamless integration with diverse systems
- Proficiency in microservice architecture patterns, with a profound understanding of their advantages and limitations
- Familiarity with Redash for effective data visualization and reporting
- Advanced English language skills (Upper-Intermediate level) for effective communication with the team and stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience with Flask for developing REST APIs
- Strong background in unit testing and debugging
- Proficiency in continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) to ensure high code quality and efficiency
