Back to SearchWe are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Senior Platform Engineer to join our team and take ownership of building and managing a Kubernetes-based platform.
This role is central to enabling other engineering teams to deploy secure, reliable, and scalable applications while ensuring the platform supports high availability and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications using Golang, focusing on scalability and efficiency
- Manage applications on Kubernetes, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with organizational needs
- Participate in periodic on-call duty (12/7 every 4-5 weeks), addressing support needs and resolving incidents
- Monitor production environments to proactively identify and mitigate issues or weaknesses
- Design and implement Kubernetes operators to streamline application lifecycle management
- Leverage Crossplane for automating infrastructure provisioning and resource management
- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines to optimize deployment workflows
- Design RESTful APIs following stringent performance and security best practices
- Document APIs using OpenAPI, enabling seamless integration and comprehensive user guidance
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development
- 3+ years of experience developing scalable applications with Golang
- Competency in deploying and maintaining applications in Kubernetes environments
- Availability for on-call support duty on a recurring schedule (12/7 every 4-5 weeks)
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Expertise in creating Kubernetes operators to enhance platform functionality
- Proficiency with Crossplane for infrastructure automation and management
- Capability to design RESTful APIs and work with OpenAPI specifications
- Familiarity with AWS or other leading cloud platforms
- Skills in building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or equivalent tools
- Knowledge of observability tools such as Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk
- Background in supporting and maintaining critical production environments
