We are seeking a highly qualified Platform Engineer to advance the development of a cutting-edge Kubernetes-based platform.
This position plays a crucial role in empowering internal engineering teams to deploy scalable applications securely and reliably in a cloud-native environment.
Responsibilities
- Design backend services and tools using Golang
- Develop scalable infrastructure on Kubernetes, focusing on performance and stability
- Create APIs and OpenAPI specifications for use by teams and clients
- Collaborate with engineering teams to align the platform with operational needs
- Enhance Kubernetes operator capabilities and manage infrastructure configuration with Crossplane
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes
- Utilize observability tools to monitor system health and resolve production issues
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotations to maintain system support coverage
- Improve reliability, scalability, and security across the platform
- Implement infrastructure, monitoring, and deployment automation
Requirements
- Residence in Ukraine and eligibility for remote work within the country
- 5+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years focused on Golang
- Background in Kubernetes with proven expertise in production-grade deployments
- Capability to provide on-call support every 4–5 weeks (12/7 shift coverage)
- Understanding of infrastructure reliability and production issue resolution
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
- B2-level English proficiency or higher for distributed team communication
Nice to have
- Background in creating Kubernetes operators
- Proficiency in using Crossplane for infrastructure automation
- Understanding of API design principles and OpenAPI specifications
- Knowledge of AWS or equivalent cloud provider services
- Competency in developing robust CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk
- Experience working in high-availability production systems
