Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, highly available backend applications and services
- Solve complex infrastructure challenges through code and provide post-release support
- Enhance DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline robustness
- Drive architectural decisions and communicate solutions to product owners and engineering leadership
- Conduct post-mortems to analyze incidents and prevent recurrence
- Champion continuous improvement across infrastructure and engineering practices
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to address business needs
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to become a domain expert
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend programming experience
- 2+ years of experience with PHP, Python, Go, Java, or similar languages
- 2+ years of experience with MySQL or similar databases
- Strong knowledge of database schema design, caching, and scalability
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and communication protocols (e.g., TCP, RPC)
- Experience with caching technologies (e.g., Redis, Memcached)
- Experience with CI/CD and containerization tools (e.g., Docker)
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Ability to analyze time and memory complexity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
Nice to have
- Experience with DevOps practices and tooling
- Familiarity with full-stack observability tools (e.g., New Relic)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
