We are seeking a Senior PHP Developer to join our remote team.
The ideal candidate will have proficient skills in PHP and REST API development and a significant understanding of healthcare provider systems. Your primary responsibility will be to speed up the integration of the PointClickCare (PCC) system with the app and develop high-quality software design and architecture that meets specific project expectations.
You will play a crucial role in identifying, prioritizing, and executing tasks in the software development life cycle, ensuring the delivery of clean, efficient code and conducting validation and verification testing.
Responsibilities
- Speed up integration into PCC
- Develop high-quality software design and architecture
- Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
- Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
- Review and debug code
- Perform validation and verification testing
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products, logging tasks meticulously in the project tracking tools
- Handle client support requests and actively participate in client communication
- Collect requirements from Zendesk notes and analyze and transfer them into actionable JIRA tickets
- Provide consistent support and maintenance for assigned projects
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in software engineering
- Proven proficiency in PHP, MySQL, Kubernetes, and AWS
- Strong individual experience with RESTful APIs and system integration with PCC and third-party applications (Matrix API)
- Knowledge of Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service
- Ability to write clear technical documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and a customer-focused attitude
- Good knowledge of the PCC system (or a similar healthcare system)
- Strong English communication and interpersonal skills (B2+)

- Familiarity with large, outdated system integrations
- Proficiency in using Jira for project tracking
