We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join our remote team and assist in the development of a digital insurance payments platform for our client, a leading provider in the industry. As a Senior PHP Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the platform's backend systems, ensuring the platform's performance, security, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features and functionalities for existing applications
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for integration with third-party systems
- Maintain and improve the performance and responsiveness of all applications
- Ensure code quality and maintainability through testing and code reviews
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives and daily stand-ups
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex problems
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in PHP development, with a focus on backend systems
- Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks such as Laravel and experience with Git version control
- Experience with SugarCRM and other CRM systems
- Expertise in MySQL and experience with NoSQL tools
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based development
- Strong understanding of profiling techniques and tools for performance optimization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Experience with other PHP frameworks, such as Symfony or CodeIgniter
- Familiarity with Profiling and XDebug
