We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer with extensive experience in PHP and MySQL to join our remote team.
You will be responsible for analyzing and improving the client's legacy product to provide optimal solutions and enhance the system's performance. You will work closely with a talented team of developers, participating in Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the development team to analyze and improve the client's legacy product, recommending optimal solutions to enhance the system's performance
- Participate in code review processes to ensure code quality and conformity with best practices
- Develop unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability and functionality
- Optimize PHP code using profiling techniques like XHprof and identifying bottlenecks in the system
- Refactor PHP code using Xdebug to improve code quality and maintainability
- Develop and optimize MySQL queries and transactions to enhance database performance
- Work with .NET technologies to provide robust and efficient software solutions
- Utilize Redis/Memcached for efficient data caching and retrieval
- Participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Collaborate with the development team to develop and implement CI/CD processes and Docker for continuous deployment
- Provide technical expertise and support to less experienced colleagues, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in PHP development
- Strong experience with MySQL, including transactions, ACID, and slow logs
- Proven experience with profiling tools like XHprof, identifying and optimizing bottlenecks in the system
- Experience with Redis/Memcached for efficient data caching and retrieval
- Proficiency in CI/CD practices and Docker for continuous delivery and deployment
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
- Excellent English language skills (Upper-Intermediate level or higher), enabling effective communication with the team and stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience with SugarCRM or SuiteCRM, providing valuable domain-specific knowledge and insights
- Demonstrated experience with .NET technologies, contributing to the development of robust and efficient software solutions
- Extensive knowledge of OPcashe/APC, and refactoring techniques using Xdebug
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, enabling scalable and reliable application development
