We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to lead payroll activities in Argentina, ensuring strict compliance with applicable labor, social security, and tax rules. In this position, you will be responsible for delivering precise and punctual payroll cycles while acting as the primary point of contact for employees with payroll-related concerns. This is a great opportunity for a diligent professional with strong command of local payroll standards and processes.
Responsibilities
- Run full monthly payroll cycles for employees in Argentina, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Handle final settlement calculations and termination processes in accordance with current legislation
- Supervise and manage fourth-category income tax calculations
- Oversee the filing and tracking of social security contributions through the Digital Payroll Book
- Manage payroll updates such as vacations, leaves of absence, overtime, and absences
- Perform reviews and reconciliations to confirm the accuracy of payroll figures
- Assist employees and address their payroll-related questions
- Ensure ongoing adherence to relevant labor, social security, and tax rules
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience overseeing payroll in Argentina
- Solid background and hands-on expertise in monthly and final payroll calculations
- Experience handling Income Tax (4th category) computations
- Familiarity with social security contributions and practical experience with the Digital Payroll Book
- Experience managing vacations, leaves of absence, overtime, and termination processes
- Experience working with payroll platforms such as Tango, Visma, or comparable systems
- Advanced Excel capabilities for payroll calculations, reconciliations, and reporting
- Strong written and spoken English proficiency at a B2 level or higher
