Senior Payroll Accountant

We are in search of a Senior Payroll Accountant to enhance our Global shared service Payroll accounting team during a period of significant growth. This position is essential for overseeing payroll functions for EPAM's subsidiaries in LatAm and for accurate US GAAP recording of payroll-related activities. The successful candidate will possess deep knowledge, meticulousness, and an innovative mindset to refine payroll procedures and improve precision in reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee payroll activities for designated EPAM subsidiaries in LatAm, including routine payroll accounting and accumulation of accruals
  • Conduct thorough analyses and reconciliations of payroll across various internal systems
  • Investigate and resolve intricate payroll issues
  • Work collaboratively with different departments to ensure integrated operations
  • Respond to audit inquiries and participate consistently in meetings with both external and internal auditors
  • Manage local audit processes with a focus on payroll-related matters
  • Engage in ongoing process improvement efforts, proactively seeking areas for advancement and testing new methodologies
  • Produce on-demand reports as needed
  • Employ advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel, for payroll data management and analysis
  • Administer and maintain ERP systems to facilitate flawless payroll operations
  • Exhibit resilience and maintain composure under pressure to manage payroll within strict deadlines
Requirements
  • Academic background in Economics, Finance, or Accounting
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Payroll Accountant capacity or a comparable role
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong sense of responsibility and meticulous attention to detail
  • Capable of efficiently handling and synthesizing information from diverse sources
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and drive results
  • Advanced proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting
Nice to have
  • Proficiency with SAP, especially in aspects related to payroll processing and financial reporting
  • Experience with handling company acquisition-related financial tasks
  • Knowledge of handling payroll in multiple currencies
