Senior Payroll Accountant

We are in search of a Senior Payroll Accountant to enhance our Global shared service Payroll accounting team during a period of significant growth. This pivotal role involves overseeing payroll functions for EPAM subsidiaries in LatAm and accurate US GAAP recording of payroll activities. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a forward-thinking mindset to optimize payroll procedures and improve the accuracy of financial reports.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee payroll operations for designated EPAM subsidiaries in LatAm, including routine payroll accounting and the preparation of accruals
  • Conduct thorough analyses and reconciliations of payroll across various internal systems
  • Address and resolve intricate payroll issues
  • Work collaboratively with different departments to ensure integrated operations
  • Respond to audit inquiries and participate consistently in meetings with both external and internal auditors
  • Manage local audit processes with a focus on payroll-related matters
  • Engage in ongoing process improvement efforts, proactively seeking and testing enhancements
  • Produce ad-hoc reports upon request
  • Employ advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel, for payroll management and data analysis
  • Oversee and ensure the smooth functioning of ERP systems to facilitate flawless payroll operations
  • Exhibit a high level of stress tolerance when managing payroll within stringent deadlines
Requirements
  • Academic background in Economics, Finance, or Accounting
  • At least 3 years of experience in a role equivalent to a Payroll Accountant
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated responsibility and meticulous attention to detail
  • Skilled in handling and synthesizing information from diverse sources
  • A committed team player with a goal-driven mindset
  • Fluent in English with strong business communication capabilities
Nice to have
  • Proficiency in SAP, especially in payroll management and financial reporting
  • Experience with the financial aspects of company acquisitions
  • Knowledge of handling payroll in multiple currencies
