Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to oversee the design, implementation, and support of complex network technologies on a global scale, prioritizing security enhancements and advanced connectivity solutions.

This role entails providing both strategic project involvement and day-to-day tier 3 support, ensuring optimal network performance and reliability across the organization.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy LAN/WAN network infrastructure
Provide 3rd-level troubleshooting for LAN/WAN alerts and issues
Maintain monitoring and reporting systems
Document systems and network configurations
Offer non-business hours support through on-call duty per shift assignments
Carry out administrative tasks including time entry and status reporting
Configure and install network devices and services including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and QoS
Execute network maintenance and system upgrades
Ensure system availability and reliability through performance monitoring
Manage resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
Implement security tools, policies, and procedures alongside the security team
Collaborate with vendors and IT staff for problem resolution
Provide technical training to internal teams

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in the domain, CCNP certification required
Proficiency in network troubleshooting with quick issue resolution skills
Skills in configuration and troubleshooting of routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP
Expertise in LAN switching including VLAN, VTP, STP, EtherChannel
Familiarity with Cisco ASA, Cisco ISE, Cisco Firepower, Silver Peak SDWAN
Understanding of network security concepts including IPSec/SSL VPN, Cisco AnyConnect, AAA architecture, TACACS+, RADIUS, 802.1x
Proficiency in configuring TCP/IP protocol suite and application protocols like HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL
Experience with Cisco Catalyst & Nexus 9K/7K series switches and configuration of Cisco IOS, NX-OS software
Experience in configuring application load balancers and cloud firewall services like Zscaler
Background in data center environments, Nexus (ACI preferred)
Capability to work with a variety of applications such as SAP, Citrix, Portal

Advanced certifications like CCIE
Experience in leading large-scale network projects
Expertise in emerging network technologies and solutions
Previous experience in a multinational corporation environment
Skills in additional network management and monitoring tools
