We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Power Apps Developer to join our remote team.
This role involves creating user-friendly applications using low-code or no-code methods within the Power Apps platform. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs, translating these requirements into functional specifications for Power Apps solutions. You will also be required to extract, transform and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI using Power Query, and write and optimize Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) formulas to perform calculations, define measures, and create calculated columns for advanced analytics and KPI tracking.
Responsibilities
- Create user-friendly applications using low-code or no-code methods within the Power Apps platform. This includes building user interfaces, integrating data sources, and implementing business logic
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs. Translate these requirements into functional specifications for the Power Apps solutions
- Integrate Power Apps with various data sources such as SharePoint, SQL Server, Excel, Dynamics 365, or other APIs to ensure seamless data flow and functionality within applications
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to use Power Apps solutions effectively. This may include creating documentation, conducting training sessions, and offering ongoing support
- Design and implement data models to support reporting and analytical requirements. This includes understanding business data sources, defining relationships, and optimizing data structures for efficient querying and visualization
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Microsoft Power Apps Developer
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power Apps development, including canvas apps and model-driven apps
- Strong understanding of data modeling and relational databases
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform components such as Power Automate and Power BI
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and integration capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI Desktop, including data modeling, report design, and DAX programming
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and dimensional modeling principles
- Experience with SQL querying and relational database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL Database)
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices and design principles
- Knowledge of Python
