Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer

We are currently seeking a talented Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer to become an integral part of our innovative team.

In this crucial position, you will focus on crafting and executing testing procedures and tools for our advanced compute-based products to ensure their operational efficiency and effectiveness within Google's data centers. Your main objective will be to ensure the consistency and control of our manufacturing test processes and the seamless integration of our products into Google's ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Develop strategies for manufacturing tests including structural, functional, and system tests
  • Design and execute test processes, tools, and protocols for new products
  • Work closely with product design and manufacturing teams to integrate testability into product designs
  • Lead the development of complex testing solutions for high-performance compute-based products
  • Act as the technical liaison for both internal and external stakeholders concerning manufacturing tests
  • Perform root cause analysis and address issues related to tests
  • Enhance test procedures to boost productivity and efficiency
  • Record test protocols and outcomes for validation and quality control
  • Coach and guide junior engineers and technicians in manufacturing test processes
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Python and Linux
  • Experience with manufacturing test and software development using Python
  • Background in devising manufacturing test strategies from structural to functional and system tests
  • Embedded/hardware experience
  • Expertise in developing complex manufacturing test solutions for high-performance compute-based products
  • Competency in GIT, Bash scripting
  • Knowledge of OOP, code architectures, Data Structures, Regex
  • Understanding of unit testing methods and practices
  • Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
Nice to have
  • Previous experience in a leadership or mentorship capacity
  • Advanced capabilities in troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies
