Find me a jobThe Oracle EBS Database Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, upgrading, administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting the entire Oracle EBS system, including custom applications. The role requires a dedicated candidate with experience in a large enterprise environment that is detail oriented and can learn and grow, with a minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle E-Biz suite administration, cloning, refreshes, Installation, upgrades, and patching of EBS R12.2.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for Oracle E-Business Suite administration, installation, maintenance, and support
- Configure AutoConfig to manage configuration changes across Oracle EBS environments
- Coordinate patching activities using Online Patching (ADOP) in Oracle EBS 12.2
- Install, configure and maintain Oracle WebLogic Server middleware managing Oracle EBS 12.2
- Planning and running disaster recovery tests for Oracle EBS 12.2
- Supporting EBS 12.2 Application on 11g/12C/18C RAC Database
- Responsible for OEM Grid Control (OAM Pack suite), Oracle WebLogic and Oracle SOA Suite
- Configure and maintain Load balancing/SSL across the middle tiers
- Configure and maintain iSupplier and iProcurement
- Configure and support Concurrent Manager (OPP), Form Server
- Coordinate with Offshore Oracle and Application Support team, Unix/Linux/storage, and other Application interface teams
- Perform Patching, cloning, taking backups, managing archives and regular maintenance activities
- Customer-facing and ability to clearly explain technical matters
- Develop and document EBS and other applications policies, procedures, and standards
- Improve uptime and reduce unplanned downtime through automation and proactive monitoring
- Establish and maintain access controls and security for all EBS environments (including CIS benchmarks)
- Proactively maintain EBS systems at the latest security patch levels
- Provide support to our DBA operations team and our application teams
- Develop best practices and enforce these standards across the team
- Remain up to date with developments and trends in the EBS arena
- Flexibility with maintenance and code deployment times
- Prepare and maintain architecture and topology diagrams and documentation related to Oracle databases and applications
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant Oracle EBS DBA experience with large EBS systems
- Deep knowledge of database performance and System tuning skills in Oracle Core DBA and EBS administration
- Strong troubleshooting skills and tenacity in problem-solving
- Extensive knowledge of concurrent processing in a large EBS environment
- Hands-on experience in Oracle WebLogic Server Administration
- Proficient in Oracle maintenance/patching mechanics and EBS architecture
- Proven ability to troubleshoot Oracle Middleware configurations in WebLogic with a demonstrable history of solving complex problems across multiple modules
- Hands-on experience in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13c
- Experience with Oracle EBS and related Tech Stack configurations and deployments, as well as upgrades and migrations
- Technical understanding or experience with Configurators, JVM's, archiving and purging tools like Solix
- Ability to generate and analyze performance-related reports (AWR/ADDM)
- Ability to work calmly and professionally in high-pressure situations
- Ability to review application/databases metrics and reports to identify performance bottlenecks and fix them
- Hands-on operational Knowledge of UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with business OCI EBS (and RDBMS) Admins
- Knowledge of all major versions of the Oracle technology stack, including Database, IaS, Forms, Reports, PL/SQL, Java, Enterprise Manager, SOA, WebLogic, Workflow Mailer and JVM
- Knowledge of Oracle EBS 11i, 12.1, and 12.2, including full life cycle, implementation experience, configuration, and administration of the application
