We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Scientist to work on generative AI solutions across various industries and use cases. You will leverage your machine learning expertise to tackle complex business challenges for EPAM's clients, applying the latest advancements in data science and AI to texts, images, videos, and other data types. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, and product managers, playing a key role in advancing generative AI from concept to implementation.
Responsibilities
- Act as a leader in generative AI, identifying business scenarios where generative AI can be effectively applied
- Research, design, and prototype cutting-edge generative AI approaches, evaluate their feasibility, explore existing scientific research, and implement and validate solutions for real-world use cases
- Collaborate closely with the ML engineering team across all stages, from research to the implementation of generative AI solutions
- Work with product managers and other business stakeholders to shape a clear vision of the technology and its practical applications
- Present results to stakeholders, effectively communicating both the technical and business aspects of the solutions
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Data Science, focusing on developing generative models (LLMs, GANs, VAEs, Diffusion models)
- Experience with computer vision and natural language processing, including working with multimodal data (images, text, audio, and more)
- Familiarity with OpenAI GPT-x and experience in fine-tuning models
- Proven ability to write production-ready code using best engineering practices
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Proficiency with at least one deep learning framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.
- Experience optimizing deep learning models for production
- Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Excellent communication skills
- Written and spoken English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher
