We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior/Lead Business Analyst to join our Shared Components - e-Invoicing team. In this role, you will drive critical gap analysis, requirement definition, data mapping, and stakeholder alignment to support the rollout of global e-Invoicing solutions. Acting as the bridge between global finance departments, IT teams, and external partners, you will ensure our internal processes comply seamlessly with emerging international regulatory mandates.

In this role, you will work closely with modern technologies and standards, including XML/UBL schemas, EDI, JSON, PEPPOL networks, data mapping tools, and API-driven orchestration services to transform and validate invoice data across different tax jurisdictions. The position is fully remote with business trips from time to time within Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Analysis: Analyse country-specific e-Invoicing mandates and assess their impact on existing business processes, system integrations, and invoice data models
  • Gap Analysis: Perform comprehensive gap analyses to identify system and process changes required to support regulatory, semantic, and syntax requirements across various jurisdictions
  • Requirements Management: Document and validate detailed business, functional, and data requirements, ensuring full alignment between Finance, internal IT teams, and external service providers
  • Data Mapping: Define and maintain data mappings between source systems, orchestration services, and e-Invoicing platforms to guarantee the accurate transformation of invoice and related transactional data
  • Compliance Support: Support the implementation of country-specific mandates, including invoice validation, tax clearance, reporting, and transmission requirements across tax authority platforms and accredited exchange networks
  • Partner Collaboration: Collaborate with external service providers and partners to understand tax channel requirements, validation rules, message flows, and acknowledgement processes
  • Process Documentation: Document end-to-end invoice flows, including data transformations, invoice lifecycle events, status updates, and regulatory responses
  • Entity Onboarding: Coordinate and support onboarding activities for new countries and legal entities, ensuring system, data, compliance, and operational readiness
  • Stakeholder Workshops: Collaborate actively with Local Finance, Group Finance, IT teams, and external partners to gather and validate business requirements, facilitating alignment workshops and reviews
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the primary liaison between business units, technology teams, and external service providers to align requirements, manage dependencies, set priorities, and track implementation activities
Requirements
  • Core Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, specifically focused on e-Invoicing, tax compliance, electronic data interchange (EDI), or financial system integrations (ERPs, billing platforms)
  • Solid understanding of data formats like XML, JSON, EDIFACT, and UBL
  • Experience with data mapping tools and an understanding of REST APIs and message orchestration
  • Familiarity with the PEPPOL network and global e-Invoicing schemas is highly advantageous
  • Analytical Mindset: Expert level of detail orientation with a track record of performing data gap analysis and mapping business requirements to complex technical specifications
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the capability to easily translate technical concepts into business language (and vice versa)
  • Work Style: Proactive, self-organized, and comfortable driving initiatives in a fast-paced, multi-country environment
