We are looking for a Senior Kotlin Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development and evolution of backend services and APIs. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Kotlin and Spring Boot, backend development, databases, and REST APIs. We are also open to strong Java developers who have upskilled to Kotlin, depending on their practical Kotlin knowledge and overall experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using Kotlin and Spring Boot
- Design, implement, and integrate REST APIs
- Work with MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL for data persistence
- Contribute to technical design and implementation decisions
- Write maintainable, reliable, and high-quality code
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders as part of the development team
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kotlin and Spring Boot
- Experience with MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL
- Experience working with and designing REST APIs
- Solid backend software development experience
- Understanding of software development principles and engineering practices
- Strong Java developers who have upskilled to Kotlin may also be considered, depending on Kotlin proficiency and overall technical background
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka or other event-driven systems
- Familiarity with Grafana and Prometheus
