We are currently seeking a Senior JavaScript Engineer to join our remote team and augment our internal Data Integration & Streaming team.
This team operates at the crossroads of systems and platforms that contribute to and consume data. Your primary focus will be on developing robust and scalable data steaming/ETL solutions, leveraging your expertise in JavaScript / Node.js and Microsoft Azure Cloud stack.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust and scalable data streaming/ETL solutions using JavaScript/Node.js and the Microsoft Azure Cloud stack, specifically Event Hubs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high-quality data solutions that meet project requirements
- Assist in the development of project roadmaps and timelines
- Mentor junior team members to ensure they develop their technical skills and knowledge
- Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for data integration and streaming
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to convey complex technical concepts and project status updates
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, with at least 2 years specializing in JavaScript development
- Extensive experience with Azure Event Hubs, data handling, and MongoDB
- Expertise in Docker containers for building performing and scalable Data streaming/ETL solutions
- Experience with at least one of the following technologies: Apache Kafka, Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, Google Cloud Pub/Sub
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proficient in the English language, with an Upper-Intermediate level competency for effective communication with the team and stakeholders
