We are looking for a Senior JavaScript Developer with expertise in Angular, Node.js, Docker, HTML, TypeScript, and Kubernetes to join our remote team. The successful candidate will work on a project that requires hands-on experience with search applications, preferably Coveo and Elasticsearch, and an in-depth knowledge of search features and results ranking to enhance search result relevancy. Additionally, candidates should have extensive experience with Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and HTML5, as well as hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using Angular and Node.js
- Design, develop, and maintain search applications using Coveo and Elasticsearch
- Implement and maintain web crawlers or similar components to extract and ingest searchable data
- Enhance search result relevancy by optimizing search results ranking
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality and standards are upheld
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in JavaScript development
- Adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality work on schedule
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in JavaScript development, with a focus on Angular and Node.js
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript and HTML5
- Strong knowledge of search applications, preferably Coveo and Elasticsearch, and experience working with web crawlers or similar components to extract and ingest searchable data
- Experience with search results ranking and how search result relevancy can be enhanced
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English at an Upper-Intermediate level
Nice to have
- Experience with other JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms
