We are currently looking for a remote Senior Java Software Engineer with 9+ years of backend Java development experience to join our team.
The customer is a global provider of professional information, software solutions, and services for clinicians, accountants, lawyers, and tax, finance, audit, risk, compliance, and regulatory sectors.
The main scope is to extend and maintain the content crawling engine for the largest commercial Legal Search system in the Netherlands.
Responsibilities
- Develop replacement crawlers
- Make improvements to the content retrieval systems
- Build new crawlers to retrieve relevant content
- Collaborate within a full scrum team including a product owner, business analyst, a development lead and a scrum master
Requirements
- MS or BS in Computer Science or Engineering
- 9+ years of backend Java development experience
- Experience applying unit testing (JUnit, Spring Batch, Spring Integration)
- Knowledge of the Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment principles
- Familiarity with Unit Testing, Test Driven Development (Maven, Git, Jira, Confluence)
- Demonstrable experience using Jenkins, containers, web-scraping and XML processing
- Experience with SQL (SQL Server, Derby)
- Have an assertive, studious and enthusiastic personality, not afraid to ask questions when running into issues or providing with feedback
- Any experience with Spring, OSGi, Cucumber
- English level - B1+
- Deep knowledge in Cloud technologies (AWS)
