We're seeking a Senior Java Developer who can bring their AWS expertise and deep knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms to our remote team.
As our Product Engineer, you'll be tasked with the design and creation of software solutions that are not only scalable but also maintainable. Your technological prowess should span areas like Java, Kotlin, Scala, or Go Language, and should also include Spring and Java Microservice Infrastructure. Your role will place you within a team of developers, testers, and other key individuals to ensure timely and successful product delivery.
Responsibilities
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop solutions
- Creation and implementation of scalable and maintainable software solutions
- Generation and maintenance of clean, well-structured code
- Oversight of code reviews to maintain fidelity to coding standards
- Establishment and management of automated tests to assess deliverable quality
- Engagement in the Agile/Scrum development process and ceremonies
- Maintenance of code delivery timelines and quality
- Documentation of both code and system architecture
- Contribution to system design and architecture discussions
- Provision of technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a similar field
- A minimum of 4 years of software development experience, with a focus on Java
- Previous experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Mastery of Data Structures and Algorithms
- Prior experience with Kotlin, Scala, or Go Language
- Expertise in both SQL and NoSQL tools and APIs, as well as Integration
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and relevant tools
- Proficiency in Spring and Java Microservice Infrastructure
- Strong ownership and proactive approach to problem-solving
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher, for success in a remote collaboration setting
Nice to have
- Previous experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
- Understanding of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies
