Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Java and Spring Boot applications and services that support corporate actions and complex investment data processing at scale
- Develop scalable, resilient APIs, microservices, and distributed solutions with a strong focus on accuracy, performance, and production reliability
- Own solutions end to end across the full engineering lifecycle, from technical design and development through deployment, monitoring, and production support
- Troubleshoot complex application and data issues, implement sustainable fixes, and proactively improve system stability and long-term maintainability
- Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines to uphold engineering quality and delivery standards
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business partners while providing technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers across the team
Requirements
- Strong professional experience with Java and Spring Boot, including building production-grade APIs, microservices, and distributed systems at enterprise scale
- Deep understanding of software design principles, testing practices, performance optimization, and production reliability in complex system environments
- Strong SQL and relational database experience, with the ability to work confidently with complex investment and financial data structures
- Hands-on experience with AWS or comparable cloud platforms, alongside familiarity with event-driven architectures and technologies such as Kafka
- Proven ability to independently drive technical work, take end-to-end ownership of solutions, and contribute meaningfully to architecture and design discussions
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with experience in financial services, investment management, or capital markets considered a strong advantage
