Senior Java Developer with AEM expertise

We are seeking a skilled and driven Senior Java Developer with AEM expertise to support the redevelopment of a prominent e-commerce platform.

In this role, you will focus on modernizing and refactoring the back-end Java architecture that integrates front-end elements within the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) ecosystem. By taking part in transforming a legacy framework into a streamlined, forward-thinking system, you will significantly impact the delivery of robust solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop Java solutions to enhance front-end integration within AEM
  • Collaborate with various teams to pinpoint and integrate system enhancements
  • Ensure all technical outputs meet established business and project targets
  • Maintain unit tests to strengthen automated testing mechanisms
  • Conduct and participate in code reviews to uphold scalability and development standards
  • Optimize system performance to enhance reliability and end-user satisfaction
  • Participate actively in sprint meetings, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives in agile frameworks
  • Tackle challenging technical issues to ensure project delivery runs smoothly
  • Create documentation for technical designs and workflows to improve system upkeep
  • Support the integration of AEM elements with additional platform components
Requirements
  • 3+ years’ experience working with Java, AEM, and related systems
  • Expertise in Java development
  • Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including sites and asset management capabilities
  • Proficiency in crafting unit tests, performing code reviews, and maintaining development benchmarks
  • Background in e-commerce or large-scale web application redevelopment with qualifications in refactoring legacy codebases
  • Skills in linking front-end and back-end systems with carrier-like flexibility to address dependencies between AEM and external technologies
  • Strong ability to engage collaboratively with teams while following agile methodologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, at least at a B2 level

  • Showcase of modern e-commerce architecture patterns
  • Flexibility to use backend frameworks with similarities to AEM infrastructure
  • Familiarity with widely adopted agile tools like Jira or Confluence
