Currently, we are looking for a Remote Senior Java Developer to join our team.
The customer is a global Swiss firm providing financial services to private, corporate and institutional clients.
Responsibilities
- 3+ years of scraping experience in Database technologies and scripting
- Experience with SQL and other DBMS (e.g., MsSQL, Azure SQL Database, Sybase, Cassandra,) (Azure SQL Database with Sybase is Plus)
- BS in computer science or engineering degree or a related field or equivalent work experience required
- Excellent understanding of data base, cloud-based application like Azure and scripting knowledge with Perl, Linux, python, Scala, Java
- Strong technical background and have excellent problem-solving abilities
- Good in at least two programming or scripting language: Java, JavaScript, Perl, Linux, Python, Scala
- Understanding of databases and ability to write complex SQL queries
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge on relational Database architecture like Sybase, MS SQL, Oracle
- Batch process development using DB languages like PLS/SQL, TSQL/ASE and scripting languages like Python, Perl, Script, Scala and Java
- Knowledge on NOSQL DBs
- Develop Batch Process and Script Development using Unix, Perl, Java, python, Scala and Autosys
- Develop BI Reporting using Tools like Cognos
- Domain knowledge on Financial reporting and wealth management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, B2 level of English
Requirements
- Core skills and competencies including Coding, Design, Troubleshooting,, Data Analysis, Problem Solving, Effective Communication, Business Acumen, and Technical Aptitude
- Utilize Perl, Java, HTML, XML, SQL, PYTHON, SCALA and other technologies to develop and manage the software applications that are part of the publishing system
- Contribute to development and infrastructure initiatives to improve speed and reliability
- Apply broad-based software development expertise to create practical, innovative solutions
- Review all existing flows or the application and system procedures and provide services proactively
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Autosys
- Experience in Cognos BI
- Knowledge of NoSQL Databases
