We are currently looking for a remote Senior Java Developer for a Financial Company to join our team.
The customer is a British-based stock exchange and financial information company. It helps companies to raise capital and investors to build their portfolios across a range of global markets.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the full life-cycle of software development; including analysis, design, implementation and testing of new projects and feature
- Collaborate with architects and technical leads on design decisions and direction
- Be able to proactively adapt to new technologies and changing requirements
- Contribute to project development estimates and timelines
- Work collaboratively with others in a team-based environment
- Investigate and resolve issues in development, test and production environment
- Generate innovative approaches and solutions to technology challenges
- Communicate the knowledge to fellow team members. Train and guide junior team members
- Analyze high level requirements and work with team members to create quality results
- Participate in internal and external meetings
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in developing Java web-based applications using Java, JavaScript (JQuery), Spring (MVC & Inversion of Control), XHTML, Eclipse, Tomcat, CSS, Hibernate, AWS
- Experience with Java, J2EE and object-oriented analysis and design principles
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of Web Services, AJAX, REST, JSON
- Strong understanding of OOP principles
- Strong knowledge of English language
- Communication skills: voice/e-mail
