We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our remote team and work on a highly-used and mature project. You will be responsible for extending the existing Quality of Service layer with additional metrics (JMX) for database and dependency monitoring, bringing innovations to the project, and visualizing system health on existing and new dashboards based on Kibana and Grafana. You will work independently and with other developers in an agile team with a high focus on robust, clean, and fast implementations.
Responsibilities
- Extend the existing Quality of Service layer with additional metrics (JMX) for database and dependency monitoring
- Bring innovations, such as Hystrix/Resilience4J, to the project
- Visualize system health on existing and new dashboards based on Kibana and Grafana
- Work independently and with other developers in an agile team with a high focus on robust, clean, and fast implementations
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure that all project requirements are met
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Java development
- Expertise in JMX and SQL, with a preferred proficiency in SAP ASE
- Competence in Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure
- Experience in Elasticsearch/Kibana and live & continuous monitoring
- Proficiency in DevOps/SRE practices
- Proficiency in JAX-RS and usual IDEs
- Competence in Jenkins and Git
- Exceptional team player with self-motivation and strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Upper-Intermediate level)
Nice to have
- Experience in SAP ASE database management
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
- Experience in AWS and Azure administration
- Experience in building and deploying applications in a cloud environment
