Senior Java Developer

Java, JUnit, JAX, Oracle Cloud

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team. Our client is undertaking a multi-year initiative to transform and migrate their legacy application suite into a SaaS-based solution utilizing modern technologies and frameworks on the AWS cloud. This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in a major technological overhaul that will impact the future operations of the business.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality Java applications
  • Integrate applications with AWS services to enhance functionality and performance
  • Lead the coding, debugging, and maintenance of software applications
  • Implement Spring Boot for microservices architecture
  • Write and implement efficient JUnit tests
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs
  • Manage database interactions and data integration using SQL
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user requirements and system design
  • Analyze system issues and devise actionable solutions
  • Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices in Java development
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Java Developer
  • Proficiency in AWS, utilizing various services for scalable application deployment
  • Experienced with Spring Boot for building microservices
  • Ability to create and maintain comprehensive JUnit tests
  • Proficient in developing and integrating JAX-RS for Java-based web services
  • Skilled in crafting and integrating RESTful APIs
  • Strong command of SQL for managing relational databases
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills at a B2 level or higher
Nice to have
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud infrastructure and services
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies
