Responsibilities
- Maintain and modernize our existing application stack
- Collaborate with development peers, product leadership, and other technical staff to create innovative and impactful solutions
- Design and develop new features using the Agile development process
- Ensure high-quality standards at every stage of development
- Guarantee reliability, availability, performance, and scalability of systems
- Support applications and systems in a production environment, ensuring timely resolution of issues
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards
- Provide technical input for new feature requirements, partnering with business owners and architects
- Mentor and guide less experienced team members, helping them enhance their skills and grow their careers
- Actively contribute to architectural and technical discussions
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience in developing software using Java programming language
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience in troubleshooting and support
- Good analytical skills with solid Object-Oriented analysis and design skills
- Experience with Spring Framework (Core, Boot, Cloud) for building scalable and high-performance applications
- Experience with test-driven development (TDD / ATDD)
- Experience working with messaging systems such as JMS and Apache Kafka
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
- Experience working with relational databases and using SQL
- Expertise in Hibernate for object-relational mapping
- Experience with Microsoft Azure for cloud-based infrastructure and application management
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English, at an upper-intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with microservices architecture for designing and building scalable applications
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
