Sonatype is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our remote team. As a Senior Java Developer, you will work with a talented group of product development professionals to create high-quality software products that help organizations better manage their software supply chain. You will participate in all stages of product development, from concept to release, and subsequent iterations to react to learnings and refinements.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all stages of product development, from concept to release, and subsequent iterations to react to learnings and refinements
- Contribute to the evolution of our applications and internal tooling, enabling better experiences for our customers and your teammates
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve design issues, ensuring seamless and user-centered designs
- Help define and run experiments to learn what works and use metrics to make decisions
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, contributing to their professional growth
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, demonstrating your strong foundation and experience
- Strong development experience with the Java stack
- Experience developing applications deployed in Amazon Web Services
- Experience building dynamic JavaScript-based web applications
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in JavaScript and React js
- A strong bias for making things happen
- Experience working in an environment leveraging remote communication and collaboration tools such as HipChat, Slack, video conferencing, wikis, and Github
- Fluent spoken and written English at an upper-intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Knowledge and experience of continuous delivery, including automated testing of various layers, containerization, automation of infrastructure provisioning and deployment
- Knowledge and experience of relational and nonrelational databases
- Experience in an Agile development environment
