Senior Java Developer

We are on the lookout for a Senior Java Developer to play a key role within our cross-functional scrum team, assigned to a specific business capability POD.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate substantial expertise in Java and Spring Framework, serving as an essential contributor to backend solutions that optimize business operations.

Responsibilities

Develop Java codebase with accuracy and efficiency
Enhance and sustain existing code for optimal functionality
Design back-end microservices along with REST APIs
Conduct unit testing to verify software reliability
Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards
Advocate for best practices like unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration
Participate actively in SCRUM ceremonies for better team synergy
Contribute to estimation and planning discussions for streamlined project management
Provide mentorship and insights to junior and mid-level developers

Requirements

3+ years of relevant development experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred
Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
Competency in constructing APIs and familiarity with microservices architecture
Background in financial services, especially wealth management, is valued
Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken at C1+ level)
