We are looking for a remote Senior Java Developer with expertise in Amazon Web Services, Docker, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and gRPC to participate in medium to high-complexity projects. As a Senior Java Developer, you will develop, debug, and modify components of software applications and tools, driving Operational Excellence for production systems. You will be responsible for writing automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests to support our continuous integration pipelines. Additionally, you will be expected to support and fix data and system issues as needed, and define, develop, and maintain technical design and stakeholder documentation.
Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, and modify components of software applications and tools
- Drive Operational Excellence for production systems
- Write automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests as appropriate to support our continuous integration pipelines
- Support and fix data and system issues as needed
- Resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur with help from peers or managers and follow through on details, driving issues to closure
- Define, develop, and maintain artifacts like the technical design or stakeholder documentation
- Understand complex systems design and actively lead/participate in design & code reviews
- Participate in user story creation in partnership with the teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related major or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of Software Engineering experience with Agile development methodology, continuous delivery, and related engineering practices
- Expertise in Java language
- Experience with building, testing, deploying and monitoring services in AWS (EKS, ECS, RDS, VPC, Cloudformation etc)
- Proficiency with server-side & client-side programming languages and frameworks (HTTP REST, gRPC, Spring MVC/Boot, Docker, Kotlin, streaming Kafka and Flink)
- Experience with SQL (PostGreSQL, AWS Aurora) or NoSQL (DocumentDB, Redis) databases
- Experience with GIT (version control)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven commitment to technical excellence and bias to action
- B2+ English level proficiency
