We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to collaborate with our dynamic cross-functional scrum team within a focused business capability POD.
This role is essential for enhancing backend systems using skills in Java and Spring Framework to support business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Java codebase improvements
- Plan and create back-end microservices and REST APIs
- Maintain software integrity with detailed unit testing
- Perform thorough code reviews to ensure superior standards
- Uphold best practices, such as unit testing and ongoing integration
- Engage fully in SCRUM ceremonies to enhance teamwork
- Assist with estimations and planning sessions for project alignment
- Offer mentorship and technical support to other team members
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in development
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; preference for Master’s degree
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
- Competency in API creation and understanding microservices architecture
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Spring Boot, and ReactJS
- Familiarity with Java Messaging and cloud platforms
- Background in financial services or wealth management is advantageous but not required
- Upper-intermediate English proficiency (B2+)
Nice to have
- Understanding of industry practices within financial services
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka and Microsoft Azure
