We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team, working on a groundbreaking project in the life sciences industry. Our team is responsible for developing an application that calculates life science data and integrates with other customer systems. As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a monolithic Java Spring REST API, working with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain a monolithic Java Spring REST API for the application
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the application with other systems
- Deploy the application using Dockerized, RedHat Openshift based deployment, ensuring the highest level of performance and scalability
- Develop and maintain user-friendly interfaces using ReactJS and JavaScript
- Optimize and fine-tune the application for enhanced performance and scalability
- Ensure the highest level of data quality, working with SQL and Oracle databases
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers in the team
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Java development, demonstrating your proficiency in designing and developing complex applications
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring MVC frameworks, highlighting your expertise in developing RESTful APIs
- In-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), including SNS, SQS, and S3, enabling you to develop and deploy scalable applications on the cloud
- Experience with ReactJS and JavaScript, allowing you to develop and maintain user-friendly interfaces
- Strong command of SQL and experience working with Oracle databases
- Experience with Docker, RedHat Openshift, and CI/CD tools like GitLab and Jenkins, highlighting your expertise in deploying applications using modern DevOps practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, allowing you to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Fluent English language skills with an upper-intermediate level or higher
