We are currently seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our team remotely. Our ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for software development and is eager to learn new technologies. As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for developing and designing software for web-based applications with a focus on Java.
Responsibilities
- Develop and design software for web-based applications with a focus on Java
- Collaborate with a team spanning across different time zones and with varied strengths
- Ensure high-quality code by writing unit tests and participating in code reviews
- Participate in agile development practices such as daily stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives
- Assist in the operations and incident management of daily software ops work
- Automate repetitive tasks to increase productivity and efficiency
Requirements
- 3+ of work experience in developing and designing software with Java
- Experience with front-end technologies, preferably React
- Strong programming fundamentals and the ability to rapidly self-train on new technologies
- Expertise in Spring Boot and REST
- Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystem
- Experience with reactive programming
- Ability to see patterns in work and come up with engineering solutions to minimize repetitive tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at an upper-intermediate level
Nice to have
- Experience in handling incidents from time to time
- Familiarity with AWS Lambda and Serverless Framework
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Operations and Incident Management
