You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide estimates for system upgrades, implement required code changes, and rewrite existing components to ensure seamless migration to new platforms. Responsibilities

Perform discovery and review for existing software developed in Java, identifying areas for improvement and optimization
Provide estimates for the system upgrade to work under Linux in AWS, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive plan
Develop parts of the software to support migrating in phases, utilizing your expertise in Java development and AWS
Implement required code changes, ensuring seamless integration with new platforms
Rewrite existing components if needed, ensuring optimal functionality and performance
Contribute to the development of high-quality software solutions, utilizing your expertise in Java development, AWS, and Linux systems

Requirements

3+ years of experience in Java development, Spring boot, with a strong understanding of Java 8 or higher
Expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Linux systems, including experience in migrating legacy systems to new platforms
Familiarity with common algorithms and data structures, enabling you to develop efficient and scalable software solutions
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Fluent spoken and written English at an upper-intermediate level or higher

Nice to have

Experience in working with legacy code and reverse engineering
