We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our remote team and work with one of the leading software companies in the world. As a Senior Java Developer, you will have a strong understanding of cloud platforms and experience with AWS, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, REST, and Reactive Programming.
Responsibilities
- Design and build highly scalable microservices using AWS, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, REST, and Reactive Programming
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather design requirements, build, deploy, and own services from the ground up
- Craft public APIs and write clean code for highly scalable microservices
- Provide strong technical foresight to the team
- Collaborate effectively across time zones on ideas and designs with some of the best architects and developers in Atlassian
- Partner across engineering teams to take on company-wide initiatives spanning multiple projects
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in designing and building production-level large-scale web applications
- Proficient in Java and JavaScript
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms and working knowledge of highly scalable microservices and their design
- Ability to craft public APIs and write clean code
- Passion for software engineering and getting things done using pragmatic approaches to iterate towards solutions for hard problems
- Solid understanding of application performance and crafting low latency, high-speed HTTP applications
- Ability to work well in a team, comfortable with code reviews, and collaborating effectively across time zones on ideas and designs
- Fluent spoken and written English at an upper-intermediate level or higher
- Experience with the AWS Ecosystem
- Knowledge of NodeJS and ReactJS
