We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to build scalable backend services in a cloud-native environment and help raise engineering quality through collaboration and best practices. You will deliver reliable APIs and microservices, improve performance and stability, and work closely with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Build secure, high-performance microservices that scale
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs for enterprise applications
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, product, and architecture partners across the SDLC
- Review code and promote engineering best practices
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause fixes
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
- Work with cloud infrastructure and modern DevOps practices
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Create technical documentation and share knowledge within the team
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong knowledge of Java (Java 17+ preferred)
- Hands-on Spring Boot experience
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- REST API design and development experience
- Microservices architecture knowledge
- Relational database and SQL knowledge
- Version control skills with Git and modern workflows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2) in speaking and writing
Nice to have
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience
- GraphQL API development or integration experience
- Elasticsearch experience
