EPAM's Financial Services Practice is looking for an exceptionally talented Senior Java Developer to join our team of world-class engineers. You will work on cutting-edge technology solutions for one of the world's largest and most prestigious global investment banks — an institution at the forefront of financial innovation, operating across investment banking, securities, asset management, and consumer banking worldwide.

This role requires availability to work from the client's office in Warsaw 3 times a week.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based backend services and applications
- Build and enhance scalable RESTful APIs serving critical business functions
- Implement reactive, event-driven solutions for high-throughput data processing
- Work with NoSQL databases to manage and query large-scale datasets
- Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability
- Collaborate with globally distributed, cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design for scalability and performance
- Operate within an Agile Scrum framework, delivering iteratively with continuous feedback
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong Java development experience — with a focus on Java 8 & 9
- Experience with NoSQL databases — ideally MongoDB
- Experience implementing REST APIs — ideally with JAX-RS
- Experience with Reactive Programming — ideally with RxJava
- Solid experience implementing unit tests
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills in English for collaboration within an international team
- Experience developing applications in fintech or established financial institutions
- Experience with microservice architectures
- Experience developing systems that can scale to large amounts of data
- Experience working in Agile Scrum
- Experience working on a globally distributed team
