We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our remote team, working with a leading global financial technology company. As a Senior Java Developer, you will work on a Scrum team with friendly and supportive management. You will be responsible for developing REST Services and Lambdas, ensuring good estimation of tasks within sprint, code review, and unit test coverage. The product managers and business analysts are part of the team and will help you form clear and transparent requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop REST Services and Lambdas, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and user needs
  • Participate in code reviews, offering input on requirements, product design, and potential challenges
  • Ensure good estimation of tasks within sprint and deliver work within the committed timeline
  • Write unit tests to ensure code coverage and maintain high-quality code
  • Maintain and improve existing applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Java Development, demonstrating expertise in developing and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and reliable applications
  • Strong experience in Spring Boot and REST API development
  • In-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), with practical experience in using AWS Lambda and API Gateway
  • Experience with ReactJS
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum
  • Excellent communication skills and strong critical thinking capabilities to effectively convey feedback and insights
  • Fluent spoken and written English at an upper-intermediate level or higher, enabling effective communication
Nice to have
  • Experience in IAM/security policies for S3, SQS, SNS, and ECS
  • Familiarity with other AWS services beyond the must-have skills
