We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our remote team and work on a project that will impact how content gets onboarded and delivered to our customer-facing apps. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for producing well-designed and testable code using industry best practices, leading project planning, forecasting and execution efforts, ensuring quality and availability of software systems, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with other teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment of team objectives and offerings.
Responsibilities
- Produce well-designed and testable code using industry best practices
- Lead project planning, forecasting, and execution efforts for new project deliverables
- Ensure quality and availability of software systems by applying best practices for monitoring and alerting
- Mentor and support junior engineers on their journey to level up
- Cross-collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment of team objectives and offerings
Requirements
- 3+ years of full-stack development experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or comparable experience
- Proficiency in Java, Kubernetes, React, and Typescript
- Experience in building and deploying software systems in AWS
- Mastery of front-end coding technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Experience in designing and building APIs
- Demonstrable experience owning and operating business-critical systems servicing internal and external customers
- Ability to prioritize and simplify tasks to achieve results
- Proactive mindset in seeking the best solution for the company and customers
- Capability to listen to customers and partners, internalize their needs, and develop simple and elegant solutions
- Fluent English language skills with an Upper-Intermediate level
Nice to have
- Experience with New Relic Analytics and Node.js
- Familiarity with Splunk
