Senior Java Developer

Java, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, ReactJS, Java Messaging, Cloud Platforms, Apache Kafka, Microsoft Azure

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to collaborate within our dynamic cross-functional scrum team in a designated business capability POD.

This position plays a critical role in creating backend solutions using proficiency in Java and Spring Framework to support and advance business needs.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a robust Java codebase
Design back-end microservices and REST APIs
Ensure software quality through thorough unit testing
Conduct code reviews to uphold coding standards
Apply best practices, including unit testing and continuous integration
Participate actively in SCRUM ceremonies to enhance teamwork
Contribute to estimation and project planning sessions for alignment
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members

Requirements

At least 3 years of development experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an allied field; Master’s degree preferred
Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
Competency in building APIs with an understanding of microservices architecture
Knowledge of Kubernetes, Spring Boot, and ReactJS
Familiarity with Java Messaging and cloud platforms
Background in financial services or wealth management is a plus
Upper-intermediate proficiency in English (B2+)

Nice to have

Understanding of industry standards in financial services
Familiarity with Apache Kafka
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure
