Senior Java Developer

We are seeking for a Senior Java Developer to help build and optimize our research solution. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing RESTful APIs using Spring Framework, delivering and supporting publicly-facing web applications, and working with cloud services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining our cutting-edge technology and forward-thinking philosophy.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs using Spring Framework
  • Deliver and support publicly-facing web applications
  • Work with AWS
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in large systems software design and development with hands-on experience in RESTful APIs using Spring Framework
  • Professional web development experience using Java and microservices for enterprise applications
  • Experience with React/Redux
  • Hands-on experience developing, delivering, and supporting publicly-facing web applications
  • Hands-on experience with AWS
  • Advanced understanding of private and public cloud design considerations and limitations in the areas of virtualization and global infrastructure, distributed systems, load balancing, networking, and security
  • Fluent English language skills with an upper-intermediate level
Nice to have
  • Experience with C# and .NET
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Knowledge of Istio/Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with MongoDB
  • Experience with Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
