We are seeking a remote Senior Java Developer to join our highly distributed team at EPAM, working on a project for a leading global customer. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new requirements based on end-user use cases, as well as setting up and debugging the existing tool landscape. Responsibilities
- Design and implement new requirements based on use cases from end-users
- Setup and debug the existing tool landscape, improvising as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of high-quality solutions
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, methodologies, and tools
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Java development, demonstrating your proficiency in Java 8, SQL, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Java Microservice Infrastructure, and Rest API
- Experience in understanding requirements and business use cases from end-users, enabling you to design and implement new requirements based on user needs
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, allowing you to address complex issues and provide effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a highly distributed environment
- Fluent spoken and written English at an upper-intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with Python and/or Perl code
- Experience with cloud deployment and infrastructure
- Experience with legacy software systems and the ability to work with outdated technologies
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
