We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our remote team.
As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our products, using your expertise in Java development and experience in working with older codebases. You will also have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies such as Google Cloud Platform and Angular, and contribute to the development of complex frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality Java code for our products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of functionality and usability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and user needs
- Contribute to the development of complex frameworks used by others
- Maintain and improve older codebases and legacy systems
- Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and other best practices
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and incorporate them into our products
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Java development, with a proven track record of delivering clean, tested, and elegant code
- Experience with Java Microservice Infrastructure
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform
- Strong understanding of web development, including REST APIs and back-end development relating to web platforms
- Experience with front-end development, including one-page applications and Angular
- Experience in working with older codebases and legacy systems, with the ability to maintain and improve them
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks quickly
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
